To celebrate the upcoming wedding of Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle, the school will be hosting a ‘wedding reception’ tea party on Tuesday 15thMay at 2pm for the children. As ‘wedding guests’ we would like the children to dress in their best clothes – children will wear school uniform in the morning and CHANGE INTO their clothes (sensible footwear required) in the afternoon.
Beforehand the children will be creating bunting, paper flowers and designing name places – all to be displayed on the day. In the tradition of a real wedding reception, a speech will be made by Year 4’s Student Council representatives.
If you are available to help set up tables and hang bunting (1.15 – 1.50pm on Tuesday 15thMay) please sign up at the school office.
In order to make it a memorable experience we kindly ask for party food donations. Each class has a sign-up sheet with items for you to choose from. This will be displayed outside your child’s classroom.
Lights, camera, action!
The school has been approached by Japanese television station NHK (the equivalent to the BBC) who would like to come in and briefly film the event. If you would not like your child to be filmed please contact the office.
